6 PLACES GRACED BY JESUS ACCORDING TO MARK
Galilee It was written that Jesus visited Galilee in the Gospel of Mark. It was here Jesus had proclaimed the good news and advised everyone to repent and believe. Whilst in Galilee, he stood before his disciples and explained in 9:30 that:
The son of Man is to be betrayed into human hands, and they will kill him, and three days after being killed, he will rise again. However they were simply left confused when hearing this, and did not know what Jesus meant during the time, and not one disciple was brave enough to ask what was meant by this. Jesus more specifically visited Capernaum which will now be explained.

Capernaum, Galilee
Jesus told Simon and his brother Andrew (who were casting a net into the sea) to follow him so that they may fish for people. They both instantly abandoned their nets and began to follow Jesus. Jesus said the same to James and his brother John (who were mending nets in their boat), they too left and followed him. As they reached Capernaum, Jesus taught at the synagogue and and cured Simon's mother in law who was in bed with a fever. When Jesus was found the next day, Simon and the others had said, 'Everyone is searching for you.' Instead of returning, Jesus had said;
Let us go to the neighboring towns, so that I may proclaim the message there also; for that is what I came out to do. (1:38) And he did as he said. He went throughout Galilee, spreading and proclaiming the message of God in synagogues.

In the gospel of Mark, Jesus visits Bethsaida twice. The first visitation took place in 6:45 called 'Jesus Walks on Water'. In this story, Jesus told his disciples to all enter a boat and sail to Bethsaida. Hours passed and Jesus noticed the rough winds and seas. Although he intended on walking past the disciples, they were frightened and under the impression that hewas a ghost and cried out. So Jesus stopped and said;
Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid After explaining, Jesus approached and joined them in the boat, the wind immediately stopped and the air stood still. Of course everyone was amazed but was confused as to how this had happened. Nevertheless their faith grew stronger.

Another time Jesus arrived in Bethsaida was in 8:22; 'Jesus Cures a Blind Man in Bethsaida' A blind man was brought to Jesus and the crowd begged and begged for Jesus' help. They asked Jesus to touch this man and cure him of his blindness. Once Jesus led the man out of the village, Jesus placed his hand with saliva on the mans eyes and said: Can you see anything? The man looks around and said 'I can see people, but they look like trees walking'. Jesus put his hands on the mans eyes; the man subsequently looked at his surroundings and saw everything clearly. Before Jesus left, he said to the man 'don't even go into the village'.

Jesus on the other hand called for him. People then said to this blind beggar, 'Take heart, get up, he is calling you.' Jerusalem
In Gethsemane, Jerusalem at 14:32, Jesus brought his disciples and told them to sit and wait. 'Sit here while I pray.' Jesus then brought Peter, James and John and said to them, 'I am deeply grieved, even to death; remain here and keep awake.' Jesus walked a distance away and began prayer. His prayer:
Abba, Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me; yet, not what I want, but you want.
Jesus returned only to find them sleeping. He then said, 'Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep awake one hour? Keep awake and pray that you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.'
So Jesus left again to pray the same words he did previously, and when he came back nothing had changed. He had found them sleeping again. So for the third time after another session of prayer, Jesus came back to find them sleeping again. This time he had had enough.
So Jesus left again to pray the same words he did previously, and when he came back nothing had changed. He had found them sleeping again. So for the third time after another session of prayer, Jesus came back to find them sleeping again. This time he had had enough.
Are you still sleeping and taking your rest? Enough! The hour has come; the son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Get up, let us be going. See, my betrayer is at hand.
